Works Description

• Design and build contract for works on Level 7 & 8.
• Validation of existing services.
• Development of the electrical design from the stage 3 to stage 5 and production of fully coordinated small power & lighting drawings.
• Ownership of the design of circuits, calculation of all elements of circuit design.

NEW SMALL POWER:

• Installed an Electrak to suit new layout.
• Installed high level containment to facilitate access control and CCTV requirements.
• Installed TP&N supplies to a condenser located in the loading bay to cool a small server room.
• All lighting was controlled by Simmtronic lighting protocol back to hard wired LCMs’ located in accessible ceilings.
• Emergency lighting tested and certified.
• Simmtronic lighting fully commissioned and certified.

NEW SPECIALIST LIGHTING:

• Architectural pendant and suspended fittings to meeting rooms and breakout areas.
• New recessed downlights installed throughout space.

Unique project issues:

GENERAL

• Project was delivered throughout the first lockdown and all supply chain issues successfully managed to deliver on time and within budget.

TECHNICAL

• Poor quality and inconsistent record drawings meant that the lighting control proposal would not function as required.
• SPL produced an on-site design and re-wired circuits as necessary to provide the client with the functionality they desired.
