Works Description

  • Validation of existing services due to limited existing record information.
  • Development of the electricial design from the stage 2 to stage 5 and production of fully coordinated small
    power & lighting drawings.
  • The installation of site temporaries.
  • Validations revealed all high level containment to be retained but low level small power and lighting to be stripped out to facilitate new design.
  • New small power and data to floor boxes across showroom and meeting rooms, this was especially challenging due to a solid wooden floor throughout.
  • Power to a new kitchen.
  • New power and AV containment to meeting rooms, etc.
  • Power and containment to a new comms room.
  • Installed and supplied TP&N supplies to an overhead door heater and a stand alone control panel.

 

MECHANICAL POWER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Relocating existing fan coil units
  • New power supplies to AC condensers.
  • New power & secondary containment for access control & CCTV

 

NEW LIGHTING SCHEME THROUGHOUT:

  • Completely new MF ceiling throughout showroom
  • challenging as no access hatches.
  • All lighting was controlled via MODE lighting protocol with circuits being hard wired back to the main electrical cupboard due to the nature of the ceiling.

 

NEW SPECIALIST LIGHTING:

  • Architectural pendant fittings to meeting rooms, atrium and breakout areas.
  • New linear luminaire installed throughout the showroom and meeting rooms.

 

Unique project issues: 

GENERAL 

  • Project was delivered throughout the first lockdown and all supply chain issues successfully managed to deliver on time and within budget.

 

TECHNICAL

  • Stage 2 electrical design with no specification that required significant development in a short programme period.
